Norman Nabhan, an experienced investment professional in Houston, Texas, serves as director of institutional consulting services with Graystone Consulting at Morgan Stanley, where he has worked since 1977. Over the course of his career Norman Nabhan has worked with a variety of financial groups and organizations, particularly those of colleges, including the Purdue University Endowment and the Boston College Center on Wealth and Philanthropy.
Mr. Nabhan provided the Boston College Center on Wealth and Philanthropy (CWP) with guidance and vision during his time as a member of the organization’s advisory board. Formerly known as the Social Welfare Research Institute (SWRI), the CWP operated with a mission of analyzing the motivations and behaviors involved with charitable giving by the wealthy, assessing diverse factors such as financial gain and moral responsibility. Over the course of half a century, research conducted by the group has been featured in local and nonprofit-focused publications, including the Boston Globe and the Chronicle of Philanthropy. The CWP ceased operations in 2015 with the retirement of director Paul Schervish and associate director John Havens, but the group's past research and projects can still be reviewed at www.bc.edu.
